Vic Alboini

Director & President Chief Executive Officer (December 2006)
Vic Alboini was previously a secuities law partner at the law firm now known as McCarthy Tetrault LLP, after which he headed the mergers and acquisitions divisions of Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon Limited and Yorkton Securities Inc. before joining Northern and Northern Securities, for which he is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Alboini is widely recognized as one of Canada’s leading mergers and acquisitions investment bankers, particularly in the small capitalization sector in which Jaguar belongs.  Mr. Alboini has extensive experience in the Canadian capital markets and has executed dozens of merchant banking, mergers and acquisitions and other transactions in a variety of industries, including the mining, oil and gas, technology, health care, financial, industrial and retail industries.


Victor Lazarovici (1)(2)

Victor Lazarovici is a director of Minera Andes, Inc. and Abacus Mining and Exploration Corp. For twenty years, he was a highly ranked global metals and mining analyst; most recently as a Managing Director for BMO Capital Markets in New York. He also was a Managing Director and Senior Metals and Minerals Analyst at Smith Barney. Prior to entering the financial sector as an analyst, Mr. Lazarovici spent over 14 years in the corporate sector in engineering, financial management and corporate development roles. In addition to the mining industry, his experience in the corporate sector included telecommunications and several other resource and technology industries.

Mr Lazarovici holds an MBA from York University and a B.Eng. from Sir George Williams in Montreal, Quebec.


Michael Boydi (1)(2)

Mr. Boyd is a seasoned investment management executive with over 34 years of experience managing venture capital, private equity and traditional and high yield debt securities. His experience includes companies at all stages of development from start-ups to mature buyout situations. Mr. Boyd has a broad background in strategic management, board processes and governance having experience on many private and public company boards, often as chair of the audit, compensation or governance committees.

Mr. Boyd has served on the board of directors of a number of public and private companies and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is currently a director of four public companies and one private company. He is also on the Independent Review Committees of two publicly traded mutual fund groups. Mr. Boyd holds an Honours BA in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Western Ontario (1974) and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (1976).


John Welton (1)(2)

Director (August 2007)
Mr. Welton has over 50 years of experience in business in Canada and the United States, as a residential and commercial developer with interests in several other areas including a junior oil and gas producer in Calgary, Alberta. He is Vice President of Ontario Racquet Club, a 4,500 member tennis, squash and fitness facility in Mississauga, Ontario. He is also a director of Added Capital Corp (TSX-V: LS). Mr. Welton is also Chairman of a Canadian company, expanding into the United States, producing environmentally-friendly, biodegradable kraft paper containers for yard and leaf waste as well as recyclable kitchen waste bags. He was previously a principal of a limestone quarry operation in Newfoundland, which delivered aggregate by self-unloading ships to the United States along the eastern seaboard.
